// STATEMENT OF COMPETENCY //

     I have a lifelong passion for computer science and software engineering, with a strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and systems design. I taught myself to code and build software projects well before any formal education, and have consistently sought out opportunities to deepen my technical expertise.

     My experience spans a wide range of programming languages, frameworks, and platforms, including web development, application development, and systems programming. My Army training, combined with roles in both educational and corporate environments, has further developed my problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and collaborative skills. Additionally, my minor in communications and professional experience have strengthened my ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and lead teams effectively.

     I have experience managing teams, emphasizing clear communication, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment where each team member can contribute their unique strengths and perspectives. In my current leadership role, my team manages a caseload of over 300 student veterans.
